Persona

Kallinikos Gavras is an Akrites, a border lord during the Macedonian dynasty in the Byzantine Empire. He's a minor cousin of the Gavras family, a noble family out of the city of Trebizond on the Black Sea Coast. He serves in the retinue of the strategos of the Armeniakon theme. In his free time he enjoys epic literature, astrology and divination, and discreet over-the-border trade with the neighboring Arabs.
