About
A large SCA Midrealm household mainly within the Barony of The Roaring Wastes area, which fields a sizeable and respected armored unit at the Pennsic War for some years along with archers, fencers, crafters and service-oriented members. The household is based on a Romano-Celtic theme after Sir Forgan's Bio. Darkyard is a member of the larger umbrella fighting unit that incorporates a number of households within the (mainly) Pentamere & other regions of the Midrealm known as Legio Draconis. Their famed battle-cry in the melee field is "Darkyard!", often shouted as the precursor to a dramatic charge. The Household have members from all over the Midrealm/Middle Kingdom but primarily The Barony of The Roaring Wastes [metro Detroit Area] and The Barony of the Cleftlands [Greater Cleveland].
The household was founded by Forgan Aurelius (KSCA 13 Oct 1990 (A.S. 25) [[1]], Bladewyn, and Justinian in the early 1980s.
