Heraldry

Měryem al Ixbilǐa joined the SCA in March of 2025, and has been doing ridiculous amounts of heraldry since October of that year. She is also interested in calligraphy, wordsmithing, string-based fiber arts, and webministry.

Persona

Měryem is from Almoravid Seville in al-Andalus. Her name, which is written using a Spanish romanization system from 1505, is pronounced Meryem al-Ishbiliyya. She speaks Arabic and Andalusi Romance, and is learning Castilian but prefers to write it using the Arabic alphabet. She loves sikanjabīn and drinks it even when not suffering from jaundice or phlegmatic fever.
