The [[Marche]] of Gwyntarian is a [[Shire]] in the [[Barony of Brendoken]] in the [[North Oaken]] Region of the Middle Kingdom. <br />

Geographically, Gwyntarian contains the city of Akron, OH and is bordered by the Barony of the [[Cleftlands]] and Shire of [[Eastwatch]] to the north, the shire of [[Rivenvale]] to the east, and the Marches of [[Thistle]] to the west and [[Alderford]] to the south. <br />

==History==<br />
Formed around 1974 at Kent State University, the name in Welsh is "City of the White Shield".<br />
Gwyntarian was named a Marche in the Barony of the [[Middle Marches]] in 1986. Gwyntarian currently is one of four groups making up Brendoken, a confederation style Barony (no central prime city). Gwyntarian is comprised of the membership of Portage and Summit counties in Northeastern Ohio.<br />

The group has traditional strengths in archery, brewing and vinting and general arts and sciences. Rapier has become exceptionally popular in the last 5 years. Armored weapons has also been a core activity since the group's formation.<br />
