About this person

== Persona ==
Duncan is a Borderer, what many call a Reiver. Most respectable English folks would label him a Scot. Any respectable Scot of course would consider him an Englishman.
Both agree that he is not to be trusted around livestock.

Born in 1541, in the Middle Marche of the Debatable Land between Scotland and England. Duncan lived a pretty normal Borderer life, right up until he found himself on the wrong end of a Truce Day.
The Warden of the Middle Marche issued a mostly(...probably..) unfounded writ for him to be bound by law until tried and undoubtedly hung for some stuff.
Deciding that maybe it would be better to try putting his skills to use abroad, Duncan left the Debatable Lands and began to travel as a man-at-arms.
After a few years of running about with a (mostly) German mercenary group he found himself, quite by accident, suddenly saddled with lands and responsibilities in a Kingdom far from his birthplace.
He decided to make the best of it, and was mostly able to put his more criminal instincts to bed, but it seems that there just keep being Wars which need fighting.
He has been pretty peaceable,even turned out to be a decent landowner, making improvements to the largess given and adding to the coffers of the Kingdom.
He even got married and had a son of his own.
It's really sad though...cause two years from now(whenever now is BTW) that old writ from the Warden is gonna catch up with him, and he will likely be hung by the neck until dead...as is the third most common death of a Reiver.

So far, that hasn't caught up with him.
