<p><b>New page</b></p><div>The regional [[herald]] for the administrative [[region]] of [[South Oaken]] which is comprised of the lower west corner of Ohio (Dayton and Cincinnati) and central and west Kentucky (Lexington, Louisville, and south to the border with Tennessee).<br />

==Office==<br />
Regional Herald for the South Oaken region, which includes the Baronies of [[Flaming Gryphon]], [[Fenix]], and [[Flame]], and the Shires of [[Dragonsmark]], [[Okenshield]], and [[Aurea Ripae]]. <br />

Before they were split into North Oaken and South Oaken, the whole of the Oaken Region was covered by the [[Oaken Herald]] (all Ohio and the MidRealm section of Kentucky). At one time, the Acanthus Herald was the assistant to the Aethon Herald.<br />
<br />
The word Aethon is from Ancient Greek and means "bright, shining, or burning", which is appropriate for the 3 Baronies in South Oaken! There are a few different creatures in mythology named Aethon - one was part of the team of horses that pulled the chariot of Helios.<br />
