The Pale is the Middle Kingdom newsletter published monthly and consisting mostly of a calendar of events, letters from royalty and officers of state, event announcements, court reports and lists of officers.

The Pale is published by the kingdom chronicler or a deputy.

The name references the vertical band of red in the Middle Kingdom's arms, known as a pale in heraldic language.
