Lord/lady

This is a title that denotes nobility. Anyone who has received an Award of Arms, either directly or through some other award that conveys one, may be referred to as Lord or Lady <name>.

As a matter of courtesy, it is proper to address any individual whose status you are not sure of as "my lord" or "my lady" - this is not an improper use of the title, and should not be considered a presumption.

The Gender-Neutral Titles of Armiger, Noble, or Nobilis (Latin) are available to those who prefer to use them.
