A type of minimal armor for the body which protects the kidney area. Usually this is a weight-lifter's belt. Note that while a mundane weight-lifter's belt is legal, it does not properly cover the kidneys when worn in a mundane fashion. It must ride slightly higher to meet SCA armor regulations.
