Gauntlet
1. An armored steel or leather glove or other armour for protecting the hand in combat. Gauntlets varied from time, place and wealth of the wearer throughout the SCA's time period. Some varieties of gauntlets include:
- Half-gauntlet
- Mitten gauntlet
- Fingered gauntlet
2. Any leather glove.
3. The Gauntlet is the occasionally published newsletter of the region of Pentamere.
