A school of the arts martial invented, refined and taught in the modern SCA.

The fighting stance is similar to a modern boxing stance; it has both feet parallel and pointing toward your opponent with the sword frequently at rest over and parallel with the top of the shield.

Opponents to this style note that it works mainly because the lower leg is not a valid target in modern SCA combat, where in a real Medieval battle someone in an A-frame stance is exposing their lower legs to danger.

Some well known A-frame Style fighters include Duke Brannos and Count Alaric le Fevre

Other fighting styles include Cleftlands Style and Oldcastle.
