Summoned, there comes one before us,

Bold hearted child of the Dragon,

Soldier of the Middle Kingdom,

Warder Diego de Vargas.

Champion of Peace and of Justice,

Tireless he stands to this labor -

Dancing with musket and sabre,

Skillful with pike and with lanza,

Mast’ry he shows with bravura.

Teacher and mentor and maker.
