Pentamere Academy of Defense
The Pentamere Academy of Defense is an annual one-day academy of fencing as practiced in the SCA. It has classes on the various forms or styles used by fencers. These include single sword, sword and buckler, two swords, sword and parry device, dagger, dagger and sword, etc. There are also classes or informational meetings on the rules for protective equipment and weapons, with instruction on how to make or where to purchase those items which meet the guidelines as set down by the Middle Kingdom marshals or officials in charge of fencing safety and combat.
