Jousting

The medieval tournament art of jousting is practiced in the Middle Kingdom. Equestrian marshals have been authorizing riders and horses since 2005. Within the SCA's safety guidelines, competitors must meet armor standards, with major focus on head and neck protection. Shields are not required but can be used. Both rider and horse have to be tested and authorized before they can compete.
