Hose are an article of garb equivalent to socks or tights. Women's hosen tend to be only knee length in most of the middle ages while men's hose can be two separate legs in earlier time periods to full joined hosen in later times.

Medieval hose are not to be confused with modern tights; which are usually knit. Most medieval hosen were sewn from fabric.
