Demo

Slang for a demonstration.

A function meant to demonstrate armored combat and/or rapier combat, garb, dancing, or other arts and crafts of the SCA, to non-members. Sometimes this is done for recruitment purposes, but just as often merely to show the public or interested groups medieval recreation or the SCA's activities for their amusement or education.

Many local groups have a separate Demonstration Coordinator officer.
