The eye-slot of a helm. Typically referring to the openings on a Viking helmet, but also any helm with a full or partial mask. Often times, most notably on Viking helmets, the openings will be adorned with brass or bronze. Examples may be decorated just above the eyebrow area, a nasal piece, or have a fully encompassing design about the ocularia.
