The French noblewoman's dress of the 12th century is called a Bliaut. A variation of a T-Tunic, there is a lot of controversy and conflicting theories of the proper construction of this garment as there are no surviving examples and the artwork of the time is highly stylized.

The main features of this attractive form of dress are the long, hanging sleeves and tight fitting in the body.
