Duct tape

Stout adhesive tape, classically gray, but now available in a wide variety of colors, used to wrap rattan weapons and their padding, and also for emergency armor repairs.

Duct tape is a frequent source of humor in the SCA. It is jocularly referred to as 'the Force' ("it has a light side and a dark side and it holds the universe together" -- attributed to Count Bearengaer hinn Rauthi) In other kingdoms, it is also referred to as 'miracle wrap'.
