Also called Generousity, Largesse is a knightly virtue.
In particular a liege lord (see fealty) should be generous to his (or her) vassals and peers.
The term "Largesse" is also used to refer to items given as gifts. For example "At the feast the King gave largesse to the populace." When giving a gift to the Crown, one may give it "For Largesse" meaning that it is for the Crown to gift as they see fit.
