<p></p> <p><b>New page</b></p><div>The Magyar recurve bow, also called a Horse Bow, Mongolian Bow or Hungarian Bow, is a style of [[recurve]] bow popular with the eastern horse cultures in the later Medieval times. It is also the sort of bow popular with Middle Eastern cultures (who were introduced to the bow by the invading Mongols.) A Magyar recurve is traditionally a composite bow made of wood and horn or antler. Modern Magyar bows use fiberglass instead of horn, but usually cover this modern concession with leather to preserve the lovely appearance of the bow. Magyar bows do not have arrow rests and the archer must wear a glove on their bow hand to rest the arrow upon or attach a rest to the bow.
