== Persona ==<br />
There once existed "Genevieve Chastisse de Vaucresson", a 16th century French woman, the daughter of a farmer with properties on the outskirts of Paris. <br />
During a period of some travelling around Europe for her education in her late teens, she ran away from her chaperone after falling for a charming mercenary. That did not end well. From there, she spent time in Italy where she was 'adopted' by and became friends with a group of ladies from Istanbul who in sharing with her the foods and dances of their lands gave her a love for all things eastern. <br><br><br />

Later, in 1569, Genevieve's path took her to England where she found she could make a living as a seamstress to the noble ladies of the Queen's court. But, getting itchy feet after a few years she returned to Italy, caught a boat with friends to Istanbul, and shortly after that a merchant train to India, ending up in the court of Akbar as a handmaiden to Jodhaa. But, court life was dull, so she dressed up as a man and went out with the army and learned to ride a horse and shoot a bow. <br><br><br />

Eventually the guys decided a nice 'boy' like that needed a wife and fixed her up with a cute Russian girl she ran into and made friends with in Kashmir, and next thing everyone knew they were married, much to their satisfaction. Genevieve's army buddies still don't have a clue that 'Veer' wasn't quite the man he seemed. <br><br><br />

10 years of happy marriage later, weary-ing of the treatment generally accorded to women, no matter how wealthy or well-set they are, how much land or how many titles, plus generally feeling so much more comfortable in pants instead of skirts and happily doing all the non-delicate chores, Genevieve wrote her will, leaving her entire estate, lands, titles, and wife (....) to her "cousin" Guenin de Vaucresson and vanished without a trace. Not long after, Genevieve being declared dead by mis-adventure and leaving no corpse, this cousin, Guenin (a person of ambiguous gender, oddly whom no one previously knew existed) appeared, moved into the Vaucresson-Smolyanina estates, took up life with the "widow", and carried on, much as their lost cousin had done previously. A few scars across their chest simply marked them as a warrior ready to retire. No one seems to be the wiser.... except for maybe a few thousand dear and close friends....<br />
