== Persona ==
Ásmundr, also called Asa, is the child of a Varangian guard circa 1300 slowly working their way back North to reconnect with their people. As a perpetual stranger in strange lands, they are doing their best to find where they fit in a highly gendered world. Some days they present as a man, others as a woman, and do their best to make peace between the two while firm in the self-knowledge of belonging to neither. Their travels came with a brief detour to marry Lambert Eisvogel, an artisan and merchant, and together the pair travel extensively. A lover of fashion and history, Ásmundr wears an extremely wide variety of clothing from around the known world both ancient and modern.

== Interests and SCA-related hobbies ==
Ásmundr is a sewist, a beginner at bobbin lacemaking (with a preference for lemon shaped bobbins and any tools made from ebony), a novice scribal artist with an interest in shodo, and also makes simple jewelry. They are interested in historical cooking, lampwork, archery, the heraldic arts, carpentry, decorative leatherwork, embroidery, medieval dance, and all kinds of weaving. They enjoy reading tarot at events and deep diving on research. They are also very interested in the history of sex work and its ongoing, complex relationship with “polite” society prior to the High Middle Ages.

== Miscellany ==
Ásmundr is particularly fond of heathers, wheat, roses, peacocks, stags, arrows, and the color burgundy. They currently have no registered device. They request due to personal reasons not to be given any scroll containing yellow roses.

==Mundane Life==
Asa began their time in the SCA in their original Shire of Côte du Ciel in Artemisia (Northern Utah), where they were born and raised. After a lifetime in Artemisian territory they have moved to the Midrealm, where they expect to remain for life. They currently reside with their private household on the border between the Barony of Cynnabar and the Barony of Roaring Wastes (Westland, MI), and primarily spend their time in Cynnabar. Asa has a degree in Engligh-Creative Writing with a minor in Folklore (emphasizing in foodways) from Utah State University and is an aspiring novelist and published poet. Due to chronic health conditions, they primarily attend events in Pentamere close to home. They collect vintage Vogue advertising mirrors. They are a deputy Volunteer Coordinator for the Sci-Fi and Fantasy Symposium LTUE (Life, The Universe, and Everything) in Provo, Utah, and recently celebrated their tenth year in the position.
